Traveling with 15 euros a day, still have much to improve
It was the January 18, 2016 when I started using the method of counting the hard way I had suggested Adrien (it's a French guy who has traveled the world in 4 years with 8 euros per day).
It's been a year, and I decided to share with you the results of this analysis.
In one year I was able to travel in 5 different countries, to learn the basics of a new language (Spanish), to live unforgettable experiences (such as El Camino de Santiago for example), to create a little blog that increasingly is followed from all over the world.
If we remove from the total expenses for the blog (purchase and renewal of the domain and Host of giroilmondoconpoco, buying a new pc, a professional camera and a decent smartphone, smartphone replacement screen that broke during the journey and it is starting to break again, purchase of various sd cards and usb cables) ... well if we remove everything ... I managed to travel for a year with only 15 euro per day!
In addition to participating in volunteer projects and to visit new countries and new cultures, last April I managed to come back for a month from my family in May to spend a month from my friends in Lille (my second family) and in June to travel on foot along the Camino de Santiago. These were the months when I spent more money.
The months I spent less money are the months when I managed to find interesting projects by voluntarism, months in which I managed to stay quite well without Rob me nothing by spending only plus or minus 250 euros a month.
The largest item of expenditure, to my surprise, is that relating to bars and restaurants.
Drinking a beer in a bar to meet people, was one of the main systems of socialization, especially in big cities. And sometimes we do not realize how much affect on our expense.
So on average each day, my expenses were spread in this way:
8.50 euros for food and drink
2.60 euros for public transport (bus, tram and train various)
2 euros for the purchase of tobacco
1 euro hostel
50 cents for the Camino de Santiago
35 cents for flights
20 cents for the purchase of clothing
20 cents for current account maintenance costs
10 cents for taxis
10 cents I have been stolen.

I'm quite sure I can greatly improve and lower the cost, even if for the moment I haven't had to deal with the purchase of VISA or various permits, saw that I was in Europe. Also in Senegal, where I am currently, I didn't have to pay any permission.
All in all I'm happy with how I was able to manage my budget, I can say that I'm succeeding in my purpose to travel the world with little! Is working for real!
As far as I am concerned, I find it fascinating that during this year in my life journey has cost a lot less than when I am fixed in one place, with a job, a rent to pay, etc etc.
They are all real numbers, I'm not making up anything. And I didn't miss hardly anything, I never felt frustrated for waivers or otherwise.
I hope to give courage to all those people who thinks she loves to travel, travel for real, but he is afraid and expect to have a big budget to do so, which sometimes never comes.
