Sixth day on the magical island of La Palma (7 Feb 2016)

Merci beaucoup a Belinda qui m’a aide dans la tradution! T’es un ange! :*

I finally found a little time to write.
I take to go to town, the vegetable market, to go on the internet and publish this article.

Last night, it was invited to a jam session.
All excited, be prepared to go to the evening. No one knew where it was, there was not much detail and thought that it was in a bar in the city who organizes events.

Mais en fait…pas du tout !

The jam session was organized by a guy who lives in the forest, about 20 kilometers north of Pachamama.

There were many inhabitants coming from the Ecovillage of the corner.
La Palma is an island of 80,000 inhabitants, suddenly, it is not very difficult to organize something and invite people by word of mouth to ear.

As soon as I got to the concert, I continued noticed the joy and peace of the people, their simplicity: mothers and fathers with their children, musicians (many musicians, a ton), travellers. I immediately entered the spirit of the feast, to dance, to move my body... impossible to resist the rhythm of the music.

A few minutes later, a girl approached, smiled at me, and takes me in his arms as if we knew has always been.
Let me introduce myself, I asked him where it came from and where she now lives. She tells me that it comes from Ireland, alone with his backpack, she arrived on the ileil a few months ago for a visit and she now lives in the caves (caves) on the mountains "palmere. It often stops at the inhabitants, it is always well received.

In fact, here, just bring with you a bit of love, positive energy, to help a little in the garden, in activities or daily life, in return you always have a bed and hot meals throughout.

Another girl then presents itself, it comes from Germany. Also, she arrived to enjoy the scenery of the island alone. Now she lives in an ecovillage where the project is to achieve food and energy independence, but we also practice the art of drawing on stone.

Everyone here has a knowledge to share and something to learn, and every community is engaged in a particular area (vegetables, fruits, bread, cheese, art, music, culture). Suddenly, there are non-stop Exchange of products, knowledge, energies, knowledge...

For example, yesterday morning I saw happen Pachamama a guy with a crate full of bananas. I thought it was the guy who was selling the fruits of his farm because he had to climb the mountain on a slope with a lot of weight on his shoulders. I finally discovered, surprised, that he came just to give us a gift of the Community 'Casa La de lo Hungarian', not far from here.

In the area approaching "comida" (where there is food), I meet an Italian, the first I met since I'm in the Canary Islands.
It is called Simone and told me of his free alternative school for all project.
Hyper motivated, he told me one hour, recounted his story to each person who told him Hello.
He is 30 years old and lives in La Palma for 3 years with his little girl.
He started his project called "Casa de los Niños.
They have a garden, fruit trees and a house in the land. His dream is to involve or to involve the inhabitants of La Palma in order to create an alternative school independent and free for everyone, thus having the opportunity to be self-sufficient in food and energy, to be able to host in the field who want to settle (family or mothers with their children).
He explains that he is sure to succeed his project. It is already filled in at City Hall, he had 3 meetings and people are more interested (he already had the accession of 15 families, it is a good start).

On the island, there is already an alternative school, the Steiner-Waldorf School. The problem is that it is not accessible to everyone because it cost € 280 per month for each child. In addition, the Waldorf exists only for the primary school.

During this time, the music continues under the stars. The musicians are amazing, the rhythms and melodies are unique.
I also met two musicians that I had already crossed to Pachamama.
These are two Swiss brothers who travel throughout the island by playing music.
One of the two has learned the art of working the wool. It is always his magnificent hat, his very pretty bag and its carpets which he transformed into bed when he sleeps in the basement, all manufactured by himself!

The jam, there are also people from the "Casa de la Punta", a self-managed squat which is located not far from Pachamama. With them, we exchange a lot of products, and also when one of us or them needs a hand for a large project, we help is without problem.

Speaking with people, I make the acquaintance of a french who invites me to join his ecovillage at 'Los Lomitos', as soon as I hope, I'll be welcome.

It was a special evening, I hadn't realized how this island is magical and paradise, how positive energies are so connected!
I am there only for a week, but the people I meet every day have thirst for knowledge, create, Exchange, help, learning, teaching, achieve their own dreams knowing that this is possible.
There are more people with these energies that I could meet in a large city (where energies are theoretically more important). In the big cities, people are slaves of a job they do not like to survive, dreams are broken or forgotten and it has no right to commit to achieve.

I am happy, too happy to be here, on the magical island of La Palma.

PS: Before returning to Barcelona the week last I met a french ready to take me to Senegal aboard his boat in November.
