Important meetings: Adrien La Porte

As I was reminded to leave everything and leave, without having a home, a job, fixed with a very limited budget, to try to travel the world alone?

Today I would like to speak of the people who have inspired me, prodded, recommended and certainly helped to make this kind of choice.

Let's start with Adrien, a French guy who made a trip around the world with a very low budget.

LE TOUR DU MONDE DE FROGGY

It was early 2015, I returned to live in Lille, France (where incidentally I am right now, in the middle of the Festival de l'accordeon).

I was back in France after discovering that there is a way to travel certainly much more interesting ways that I knew before.

Travel doing volunteer work on farms, not forced me to look for a job anywhere in town, let me pleasure, at a rent to pay. Allowed me to move me when I felt like it, without the frustration of continuing to do something that I used to hate just because the work required him to stay in a certain place.

I then got a job with the only purpose to set aside money and leave, in order to experience this new way of travelling.

Start working for a multinational company, pay a rent, not having time to pursue their own projects, be engaged 10 hours a day for something I didn't like, there I was more used to it.

I was confused and afraid.

I was also still terrified and many doubts, since the partner with whom I had designed the project to travel the world with little had pulled back, and then I had to rethink the whole thing.

I tried to peek in on the events page of Couchsurfingand there I saw a slide show in a bar of a boy telling his experience of a trip around the world made with 8 euro per day.

Obviously intrigued, I rushed on site to witness her presentation.

Expecting a boy with charisma out of the ordinary, quite different from me and with a courage from Lion.

To my surprise I found a very humble guy, I would say "normal", very similar to me.

Adrien when he finished his trip has created a presentation with so much of the slide to be shown in every town in France interested in its history.

When it finishes its presentation, Adrien usually asks the audience if anyone can host it, in line with his way of thinking about the trip, namely relying on locals.

Obviously, I launched and I proposed as "host".

We spent all day from me and sent me a dare from Lion, telling me his story, episodes of his journey and giving me tips on how to make this dream come true.

Adrien has managed to travel by hitchhiking and sleep at home of the locals for over 4 years, being able to go around the world and spending on average no more than 8 euro per day.

It is also able to tell your trip in detail, to explain how he did it and to thrill a large number of people, both via the web through its blogsboth "live"with its presentations in the bars.

He's even managed to make a very interesting document, looking for ideas for a better world through the analysis of the various countries visited.

Today Adrien is investing in a Community/Ecovillage project in Burgundy, while continuing to turn the France in bars telling his journey with presentations/conferences.

Thank you Adrien for what it is, what it represents and what they gave me.

Without him I probably wouldn't be here to write this article, and this blog wouldn't exist.

Maybe it's the person that gave me the inspiration and confidence to start my project and share it.

Thanks Master Tattoli. #dillobene
