Day 14: news from the Camino de Santiago de Compostela

The journey continues, with new friends. I traveled with a couple of girlfriends French, until in Burgos, one of the largest cities on the way.

Together we discovered the small or large donation, i.e. parroquiales albergues hostels run by volunteers of "the friends of the Camino de santiago", where it is prepared a big dinner and then stop a moment in church for reflections, small ceremonies or prayers.
We help to Cook, there is a spirit of conviviality incredible among pilgrims.

Are moments of sharing and participation in overtime, everybody lends a hand as may, succeeding in creating pleasant situations and big dinners or big moments.

Yesterday for example, after the big dinner, the volunteer who handles the Albergue took us to church, gave us a candle and asked us to explain why each has taken the path take turns passing the candle.

My friend Janine on their turn, after explaining why she was the way she sang Ave Maria at Church and it made me cry.

From Burgos, then I found myself in a totally different climate, continental, with wind and rain and winter-like temperatures.

I can't wait to go over this area, I miss the Sun and heat.

I tell myself that even this difficult moment is part of the way, and makes me wonder how this all looks like or sums up the life of a man.

The 7th day I had to get rid of pc and camera, as well as other stuff I wasn't using. I emailed them well 6 kg in Santiago, will stay there in storage for 30 days, so I have plenty of time to go shooting.

Now my backpack from 15 kg to 9 kg. My path has become almost a walk. I really don't know how did I walk 7 days with 15 kg on the shoulders. Now the backpack I don't feel it anymore.

Solved the problem shoulder, there remained the problem feet.
Luckily I met my guardian angels, my girlfriends Claudie and Janine, who taught me how to take care of my feet, so delete almost completely every pain.

Today is the 13th day, and I don't feel nearly as no pain, it's amazing how my body is reacting well.
